It's hard to pay attention to each music release. If I'm not sure about one I do the check manually but sometimes it's confusing.
How about a simple logic on submitting new thread page: a simple check to tell/warn/change-forum (scene/non scene) based on the name of the group. Additional check to the already existed "dupe" thread check.

You can always check if group is Scene/Non-Scene group. Even the group move to non-scene cat, it's an indication...

What happened to the thread for the Cyberpunk 2077 releases from DINOByTES in the games request section ?

Someone requested the newly released Cyberpunk_2077_Phantom_Liberty_MULTi19_v2.2-DINOByTES (which is almost nowhere to be found for some weird reason), but the request was deleted because there was an older thread. I have the new release, so I considered uploading it, but now I can't even find the older thread.

Yeah, that's the one. Strangely that thread doesn't turn up if I simply search for "cyberpunk".

The search function is broken but using the full dirname of a release has worked every time for me so far.

This release is indeed still missing from many sources despite having been added to srrDB only five minutes after PRE and being more than 2.5 days old now. Where did you get your copy from, if you do not mind me asking?

Anyways, links will be done soon, no need to waste your time uploading 149 GiB too.

I got it from one of the ftp sites I'm on (DINOByTES = Razor1911). But yes, beats me how poorly spread it is. It's not even on some of the major private trackers. Maybe it will start to pop up now.

Forum registration has been closed to give the moderators a break from constantly filtering DUPLICATE account registrations .
This will give them time to relax and enjoy the holiday with friends, family or however they want to enjoy it.

To give you some statistics;
Out of the last 200 registrations, only 46 users passed the process (non duplicate account)
Out of the 60 most recent registrations only 4 users passed the process ...

If you want to be here so badly, why don't you follow the rules, just like the hundreds of people that can do it fine ...

do these people create some kind of backup accounts and don't actively use them from the start or do these duplicate accounts immediately start making 10 requests a day? and is it more of a situation where one leecher creates dozens of duplicate accounts or are there many such users and each of them creates a few "extra" accounts? i also wonder which sections of the forum are most affected by this excessive requesting.

Most are users that have been banned and feel the need to come back over and over. Rules don't apply to them and they just keep trying till they get it.
10 requests / day must be hard concept. 3650 releases / year ... not enough for some.

Scene-Music is #1 (as you can probably tell by the huge number of threads and posts).
Some had indeed more than 1 account to bypass the 10/day limit.

I added a new sub-section called "Identify songs".
Please post your " track ID / song name / artist name " related requests there
It would be nice if you edited your topic and added the (SOLVED) pre-fix after.
Limit of 5 tracks / topic should be fine.

There's no special rules setup for that section, we'll monitor it and adjust as needed.
It's not a huge section, but there's been a few posts requesting track ID's the last few days so I decided to give it a separate section.

PRE-FIXES have been added, UNSOLVED AND SOLVED are now available from the thread pre-fixes box, just like the UNFILLED/FILLED/RE-UP from the normal sections.

Hey all,
There appears to be an issue with the forum search engine. (fixed now)

You may have seen an error like this:
"XFES\Elasticsearch\ConnectException: cURL error 7: Failed to connect to localhost port 9200: Connection refused ... "

I checked the control panel and there is indeed an issue, which I can not fix as I do not have access to the server(s).
A message has been sent to the admin, I hope he can fix it for us (like he fixed the DUPE posting error on the main site).

For now ... yeah .. not much searching you can do I guess :/

The only thing I can do is disable the 'advanced search' addon .. but that might break things even more or make the search completely useless.
A rebuild on the addon throws a critical warning so that's not possible for me to complete without CLI server access.
So no touchy for now.

I disabled the Enhanced Search to restore some functionality to the forum.
Then I enabled it again, which cause a DB error (yeah my bad).
But it seems to have connected to the server again and some of my test searches seemed to show results.

Turning it off and on again did seem to fix it
Fingers crossed I didn't cause a meltdown somewhere.
I will be hiding for the rest of the day.

Have admins ever thought about adding a hidden field added to the links which would be disabled after hitting the thank you button ?
