Good morning dude, well let me know anytime you feel for some metal I and will do my best to help you.
Theres few metalheads here mostly rap and electronic types it feel like, no problem with that just not my thing.
I do think I have over 600 original metal CDs mostly in mint condition, Death, Thrash and Power.

but my biggest enthusiasm is Death Metal. It started when I was 14 with Cannibal Corpse and since then I’ve never looked back.
My absolute first Metal album I heard was Metallica’s Ride The Lightning, and I still love their three albums.
Ride, Master Of Puppets and And Justice For All. So I have Cannibal Corpse and Metallica to thank for this obsession.

I did Wind_Rose-Pack and Gruesomesome-Pack yesterday. I think I will do a whole Cannibal Corpse discography pack today.

Rather than override the offline warning, I came up with a slightly circuitous way to un-rar and then re-zip the files online beforehand. My OS is fine with the new version; linked below just in case anyone else runs into this issue. So, best guess, the rar data randomly happened to contain a byte sequence that was a near enough match to the malware in question for it to be flagged as problematic. *shrug*

Yes I’m a metalhead like you but with preferences for almost all metal subgenres and especially black metal. I’m not a big fan of heavy, speed metal or old school death and black metal but I really like swedish death metal, norwegian black metal and finnish folk, viking and death doom metal.
However, my musical preferences don’t prevent me from helping people here when I can with the music they like even though it doesn’t interest me.

About your request, I have this release if you want it Ensiferum-Victory_Songs-Ltd._Ed.-2007-mwnd_int. it’s practically the same release as DDZ’s cause it was encoded using the same LAME 3.97 (V0) with the only difference that it contains a bonus track.

Regarding your collection of albums that you’re ready to share, you would not by chance have albums fo some interesting bands which have been ignored in my opinion by the music scene such as: Blood and Thunder, Shores Of Elysium (2019’s album), Beneath the Genocide, Ontborg (2019’s album), Abide in Darkness, Sylvatica, Suffocate the Skies, Fading Aeon (2019’s album ), A Night in the Abyss (2016’s album) and Touch of Eternit?

And oh yeah please UL Ensiferum-Victory_Songs-Ltd._Ed.-2007-mwnd_int. I have actually just discovered Ensiferum for my new love of Power Metal. My wife is a Power Metal fanatic and converted me. How can we lable Ensiferum? Folkish Power with some Death in it? But they are good.
My favorite Power bands now are Wind Rose, Gloryhammer, Ensiferum and Rhapsody of Fire.
I’m also not a big fan of Heavy or Speed, like a band like Metal Church.

Again, it’s a pity that you just discover this talented band which is at the top of my favorite bands in folk/viking metal with Equilibrium which I highly recommend to you if you haven’t heard of them yet.
For trash metal, I’m not a big fan and I prefer new wave bands that mix this subgenre with others like death, groove, black or nu metal.

Just yesterday’s totals are something like 500+ releases and 30+ GBs, which may be a little but not a lot above average. So for a month, we’d be talking about something on the order of 10k releases and a TB. That’s magnitudes beyond what I’d be willing or able to take on routinely, I’m afraid.

Anyway, there’d be little point, those packs are nearly as accessible as filehost links already. One just needs to familiarize oneself a bit with the transfer protocol (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent), and then either to install a local client, or register for a proxy service, both of which solutions are available for free. As for the latter, I described one in detail here:

As I touched on in the earlier posts, such proxy services invariably restrict their free accounts in some ways, but the details differ between them. And so, which one is best somewhat depends on the torrent in question. My general go-to is seedr, but the one you linked is neither young nor small enough for that – though it’s less than a month old, bundles like this tend to age much more rapidly than something like a single-movie torrent, which can keep working well for years and years.

I’d try offcloud for this one; rather, I am already trying. I’ll let you know here once it either completes caching or gives up on it. Either way, based on the rarbg stats, expect that to take anywhere between a couple of hours and a couple of weeks – hopefully not the latter in this case, as the torrent will likely be even closer to death by then than it is now, heh. Anyway, if and when it is cached, you can register a new account and import it instantaneously.

@99, currently still sitting at 0%, but that’s not necessarily a troubling sign with offcloud.

The method you are suggesting makes some sense, except that torrent proxies typically don’t support it. First, one needs to wait for the full torrent to be downloaded from the swarm _to_ their server. Only then does one get to download some or all of the contents _from_ their server. The second step is always hi-speed, so unless the first step was also hi-speed, downloading only portions won’t shave much off the total time it takes. When I do it, it’s usually either about local disk space running low, or just being impatient to start in on the content, like first downloading the first episode of a TV season pack, so that I can watch that one while downloading the full pack for the rest of the episodes. 😛

Local clients do support partial downloads properly, though with something of the same drawback: It works best when a torrent is well seeded, in which case it’s least needful, and vice versa. The only major exception to this I’ve come across are megapacks some or all of whose permanent seeders supply various portions. Like, with comics, torrent packs get made that collect everything from a given author or even publisher. Sometimes, years later, the only seeders left are those who only downloaded and are now only uploading some of the titles. So if one wants the whole thing, or one of the abandoned portions, one is out of luck – but otherwise, it works just fine. Very much unlike the more common case in which one downloads 90+% of the data but ends up without a single complete file!

True, yet another reason to be thankful for srrdb. I imagine it has to do with sites like rarbg not really being Scene sites, regardless of the fact that, at least for some of the main categories, the majority is indeed Scene-sourced. Their target audience doesn’t care one way or the other, as long as the quality is reliable, and doesn’t want to be bothered with unpacking archives or extraneous metadata files or the like. Whether their actual audience matches that target audience is another matter, of course. *shrug*

@99 Let is just say someone is like 2 weeks behind in that particular genre/section to go through 67 pages to get everything would be impossible due to time, that is why I was hoping maybe a daily or monthly in that particular genre is available.

@Help_Needed_Please, yes i agree, it can seem impossible trying to catch back up on days/weeks/months you have missed from downloads, and trying to do it quickly while navigating through newly releases being added on a daily basis when you are behind. yes very time consuming on playing catch up.
you could always request them here, and either someone might help by fulfilling them.
if @grislybairn, is still trying to get you the entire bundle release through torrents, it may take about a day or more, and about the same time for uploading.
i just think this because of its 8gb size, then raring the release, and then uploading it.
