2016-11-17: Scnlog v2
Welcome to the Feedback page which serves the same purpose as it did in the old Scnlog and it's the best way to "talk" to the admin. You can make your suggestions, complaints or requests here, preferably in a polite manner. If you are making a request for a scene release make sure it's not too old. Don't ask for re-uploads of stuff that was taken down to DMCA complaints.
Since we are in the beginning, there are probably some errors I didn't notice. I'm mainly interested in releases that are in the wrong categories. If you spot one, please let me know.
2017-11-08: What happened?
Our previous domains scnlog.eu and scenelog.eu were suspended by the .eu registry and they no longer work nor I have access to them. Please update your bookmarks to the new domain scnlog.me. Following this incident a Twitter account was set up so that you can be informed in case something like this happens again. Also the comments on this page were reset.

– This torrent has already been cached, and is available for download directly; otherwise, wait a bit for that to happen
– Grab the zipped pack in full, or else browse to and download whichever individual folders/files you want

As for torrents that are too old or big for seedr to work well, there’s no simple answer. They give you 2GB quota and a 2-hour window for a given torrent to finish downloading. The site is one example of what’s called a “torrent proxy”. There are others, whose free accounts come with more or less different restrictions, so when one doesn’t work, an alternative one may. None I’ve found are anywhere close to seedr in terms of overall ease of use, though.
And then there are ways to download torrents other than proxies, but none I know of are problem-free and cost-free at the same time.
If you want to look into this properly, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent would be the obvious place to start. 😉

BTW, in the unlikely case you’re not already aware of this, their search is a bit quirky. Namely, you only get a hit when the first word in the search string matches the first word in the filename. Other words match wherever, as usual. To demonstrate:

Anyway, since these sites do partial matches (was a bit sloppy about that in the earlier post), the best way I’ve come up with to screen out most of the non-Scene junk is to do a pair of searches with just “19” and “20” added to the string – if the artist is relatively recent, the “19” can be skipped, of course.
