Patch does not work 🙁
It worked, and I upgraded from v7.75.
You must run the KEYGEN/PATCH as admin because Windows 10/11 will sometimes write operations to folders e.g. C:\Program Files x86\.
You could also set a different name other than the group name to register in the event the KEYGEN default values are being blacklisted and it’s an unchecked condition.
Patch is incomplete.
It successfully patches the registration part, which forces mIRC to accept any username and key, BUT after that mIRC actually performs a verification online (that fails).
We need a better patch to bypass the online verification.
Clean Install Process (Problems):
I was able to replicate the problem after exporting then deleting the MIRC REGISTRY KEY [HKEY*\mIRC] to mimic a clean install. I ran mIRC and attempted to register it and it indicated the registration failed.
Upgrading Process (No Problems):
Using the previous exported license and importing it back to the REGISTRY, it worked. I suspect the app was just reading the previous license information given that I upgraded rather than performed a clean install.
Temp Solution:
Install Previous Version (License It)
Install New Version (as Upgrade and Patch – Set user to be the same as previous License)
you guys are stupid, it works fine you only need to run as administrator.
Clean install as PORTABLE – no old registry entries.
Ran crack/patch as admin. Binary comparison of original and patched executable indicates that the patch is successful, there are changes/differences.
mIRC accepts the user and key, but then attempts to verify the registration online and fails!
Confirm – patch is not complete!
If it seem to work for somebody it is probably because a license is already present in windows registry from old installation/activation.

It works here, if you don’t know how to use crack then just give yourself and the author a favor and buy it, it’s cheap.
This patch is incomplete. Seems like the key at SOFTWARE\mIRC\Validated is not valid, hence, when it tries to validate the next run shows the dialog asking for a new registration.
Repoduced this by installing a new version on a new VM.
I confirm this works. I’ve been using this one for 2 days now without problems.
This crack also needs a working network adapter MAC to be functional. Don´t know if more than one confuses the app or if you also need to have a working internet connection. So make sure you have one network adapter activated and the others deactivated. Maybe internet access via this adapter is necessary or not…idk…
Base line for me: Yeah, it works but it´s really a bit finicky. A simple “cracked exe” like CRD offered fpr 7.75 would have been much more foolproof.
Found the Problem!!
Its the .ini file!. Move mirc.ini to : C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\mIRC
mirc.ini does NOT have to be in the same directory where mirc.exe is
