, but don't know how reliable this site is.
Are there any other reliable sources to check whether I have the correct files?

Side note: What exactly are the srs files in the srr for? I know it's something to do with (re)sampling, but I always just delete them from the release...

srr = scene release reconstruction, srs = rescene/resample (resample makes more sense for video scene releases as the .srs files are used for recreating sample video files). for audio scene releases the .srs files are simply backups of audio files metadata (tags/filename/crc32 hash) and can be used to restore corresponding mp3/flac files to their original state (aka rescening). you dont need to keep them (they were not included in the scene releases after all) unless you plan on editing the audio files in any way (which i am sure you and the vast majority of people who collect audio scene releases probably don't do anyway).

I'm not big on command line stuff so I use the srrGUI.exe program that makes it really easy to work with this srr stuff on Windows.

In the past I have been able to resurrect some things I found on soulseek in a tampered condition. I think some people like to change song title formats to suit themselves when it comes to uppercase, lowercase, spaces etc. Also, people will have inserted cover images to make themselves happy when they use their favorite media players. Sometimes they have their media players set to automatically grab a cover image online and insert it into the mp3/flac. A lot of people don't think about preservation of the original releases as the collectible digital artifacts they are.

So if you ever find yourself in a situation that needs correcting, you can grab the srr file from srrDB and use it along with srrGUI.exe (which will access the srs information inside the srr) to strip away the cover image, reset the song titles to original format, put the release group name back in the comments, and just basically reset the mp3/flac to its original release condition so that it matches up with the original CRC32 values.

I got 2 mp3 files from a release that is not on srrDB & PreDB The files are:

01-soul_of_man-between_the_eyes-tclub
02-soul_of_man-between_the_eyes_(flint_remix)-tclub

Album tags says Between The Eyes Vinyl. Year: 2003

I do not have a folder name. I got these files way back on Soulseek, so the foldername is different.

Can anybody help me with the foldername/sfv/m3u/nfo?

Probably got nuked because BOSS released the vinyl (with the correct year) a few months before TCLUB did.

I don't know how uploading to srrDB works, so here are the small files:

Hopefully the .sfv matches with your files.

No sfv, nfo, m3u and foldername.

Big Thanks! & 😍 too the person who uploaded the files of Soul_of_Man-Between_the_Eyes-Vinyl-2003-TCLUB to srrdb. I repaired the files of the release with it.

Release date: 21 Jan 2025

Does someone have the JPG file for this release called cover.jpg?
It was nuked because of self-dupe (7 Dec 2024), but I'd prefer the release with the cover file if possible.

EDIT: a massive thank you to the person uploading the cover to srrDB
