However, I am now struggling to rescene it by using the pyrescene tool. I may assume that this is related to the requirement to use a specific MS-DOS RAR executable (HOST_OS: MS DOS) for the re-scene process, based on my inspection of the .SRR file details:

This makes me wonder how one can re-create original RAR files that were initially created using MS-DOS RAR executables.
I would appreciate any guidance on how to handle this.
I wonder how did you come up with choosing this particular RAR exe version for re-creating the original RAR files?
Or did you just test all the RAR versions from before July 1, 1999 and this sepcific RAR exe version turn out to be the one?
For MS-DOS the latest version before 1999 is 206 (rar206.exe)
But versions 202 to 206 have the same compression algorithm and the same goes for versions 200 and 201
So essentially you just have to try 2 versions and 250
I have never had to use versions older than 200
