Synopsis: There are scammers all over the world who have catered to countless tourists. Criminal organizations are often scammed and sometimes it goes so far that the police are also involved. As a tourist you are therefore alone. In Fraudsters abroad, Kees van der Spek, former director of Peter R. de Vries, goes after these things, visits the scammers and tries to expose them. He shows how the scammers work through hidden cameras. In the program Kees van der Spek goes to popular holiday destinations among Dutch people. He travels to countries such as Thailand, Morocco, Brazil, Bali and more. Based on the story of victims, he tries to be scammed in the same way, in order to bring out the bottom stone in these scam cases. More often than not, Van der Spek discovers a criminal network that is hidden behind the scams. He is being scammed for money exchange transactions, time-share constructions, taxi drivers and even by the local police.
