Welcome to the Feedback page which serves the same purpose as it did in the old Scnlog and it's the best way to "talk" to the admin. You can make your suggestions, complaints or requests here, preferably in a polite manner. If you are making a request for a scene release make sure it's not too old. Don't ask for re-uploads of stuff that was taken down to DMCA complaints.
Since we are in the beginning, there are probably some errors I didn't notice. I'm mainly interested in releases that are in the wrong categories. If you spot one, please let me know.

Our previous domains scnlog.eu and scenelog.eu were suspended by the .eu registry and they no longer work nor I have access to them. Please update your bookmarks to the new domain scnlog.me. Following this incident a Twitter account was set up so that you can be informed in case something like this happens again. Also the comments on this page were reset.

I’ve tried and succeeded to ReScene before but sometimes it just fails.
Not sure if it’s because of the nfo that we get the CRC mismatch on your trainer.
srrdb page says that the nfo is unconfirmed so who knows?
Anyway, If I see it somwhere I’ll let you know. Sorry again.
Just some extra info on your trainer:
The nfo from gcw and tgdb is different from the one at srrdb. Yes I tried both but no luck.
sometimes even top sites tamper with the nfos so they can keep track on people who steal.

I have no problems with the rescene tool, I use it all the time. Although I use the command line python scripted version (pyrescene).
I even use it for compressed archives. So far the latest version (0.7) has reconstructed 99% of the compressed archives I’ve tried it on. You just need to learn how to use the -mt options.

Kudos for acknowledging your fault.
The alternative NFO is not the problem because it is identical to the one stored in the SRR file, which you can confirm with ‘srr -q $SRR’. It is only listed as unconfirmed because of the different file name. Before posting my repack, I tried for some time to manually create the proper RAR archive by brute-forcing through various settings (such as ‘mt’) on all(?) RAR versions going back to 199X, but this obviously did not bear any fruit and I am not really keen on spending any more time on this.

I never tried a GUI version but I too can confirm that pyrescene/srr works (most of the time), even on Windows, you just have to properly set it up first (RTFM). In my experience, and off the top of my head, the tool mostly breaks on game updates, releases with large files that also include one or more very small ones at the end causing only the first and/or last RAR parts to be corrupt, almost never works for PROPHET releases, sometimes does not detect the correct RAR version, and still has no RAR5 support. There are some edge-cases such as multi CD/DVD releases being only rebuildable per disc (get the partial srr files from srrdb, or just extract them from the main one), and particular video samples failing to rebuild with srs. For the latter I wrote a hacky workaround, although I am not sure why it even works (lol). These types of issues are likely listed in the bug tracker and may already have a solution.

Looking at what I’ve missed, is anyone able to re-up these FLAC releases please? – all the parts weren’t available on Scnlog via ddownload or send.cm (only on nitroflare, which is blocked!)

So basically in situations where the ReScene fails you just have to rely and hope that someone has an old archive and is still active on the sharing scene. Nothing to do with nothing but I remember getting hold of old and rare stuff on dc++ – I wonder if there’s still a community over there – last time I visited was around 2005.

you make fair points, Scnlog isn’t up to date for example with some 0-day mp3s right now. and there’s been some link troubles.
but to be fair against scnlog owner, I doubt he lives and breathes for the site. i’m sure he has other things to take care of, maybe summer vacation too.
so let us all just take a step back and remind ourselves he’s providing this for free.
