hi

i was looking in the tv shows section and found a yo mtv raps upload.
wanted to search for other yo mtv raps uploads, but the search function
always shows no results - not even the one i downloaded.

why is that and how can i search for stuff and get correct results?

The general problem you're dealing with is that the search doesn't really understand Scene-style whitespaces - for details see https://scnlog.me/forum/threads/forum-feedback.24, posts #117 and #121.

The general solution is to search not for individual words but for longer "phrases" that you expect to typically occur in release names you're interested in, such as "Kylie_Minogue" and "Kylie_Minogue_" for that artist. That will still miss variants like "Kylie-Golden-CD-2018-D2H" or "Kylie_Minogue_and_Jason_Donovan-Especially_for_You-(Vinyl)-1991-UTB", of course.

Your specific case is worse than most, I'm afraid. Going by https://www.srrdb.com/browse/Yo/MTV/Raps, it looks like straightforward phrases like "Yo_MTV_Raps" and "Yo.MTV.Raps" only account for roughly half. For the one you linked, you'd have to try "Yo.MTV.Raps.A.journey.Back.In.Rhyme"... et cetera!

Any one thing works fine, mostly. Many things at once is where it gets problematical.

i search for "Yo!" and get jennifer sanchez... thats useless.

example request "scooter"
